YMML – Melbourne Intl. Airport
For Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
Welcome to Australia’s busiest aviation hub.
Our Melbourne International Airport (YMML) has been built from the ground up to deliver a true-to-life rendition of Tullamarine in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Designed with accuracy, performance and immersion in mind, this scenery captures the scale, atmosphere and operational feel of one of the Southern Hemisphere’s most important gateways.
From the moment you line up on 16/34 or taxi past the international pier, you’ll notice the attention to detail. Custom terminal modelling, high-resolution PBR textures, accurate airside clutter, ground service equipment and carefully placed landside elements all combine to bring YMML to life. Whether you’re flying a heavy long-haul into T2 or operating domestic hops from the Qantas and Virgin terminals, the layout and stand configurations reflect the real-world airport.
We’ve incorporated:
-
Fully custom-modeled terminals and major airport structures
-
Accurate taxiway layout (Jan 2026) , signage and stand positions
-
High-resolution ground textures with realistic wear and markings
-
Detailed airside clutter, lighting and ground service equipment
-
Optimised LODs for smooth performance on both PC and Xbox
-
Up-to-date runway and apron configuration
Night operations are where YMML truly shines. Carefully tuned apron lighting, terminal glow and runway illumination create a convincing after-dark experience — perfect for late arrivals from Asia, the Middle East or across Australia.
As with all Impulse Simulations products, this release has been crafted with a balance of visual fidelity and performance. It’s built to integrate seamlessly into your sim without sacrificing smoothness, even during busy AI or VATSIM sessions.
Melbourne is more than just another airport — it’s a major long-haul gateway, a domestic powerhouse, and a key training and airline hub. Now it can be the centerpiece of your Australian operations in Microsoft Flight Simulator.
We’re proud to bring YMML to the community and look forward to seeing you taxi past the terminal in your next arrival.
See you on the apron.
